Code of Conduct

The mission of Kiwanis Baseball is to provide opportunities for local children to have fun playing baseball in a safe, wholesome, positive atmosphere. Participants, spectators, and visitors can help fulfill this mission by following a few simple rules.

All participants, including parents, spectators, and visitors, are expected to serve as positive role models by conducting themselves in accordance with the highest standards of sportsmanship, treating everyone with respect.

Direct only positive, encouraging comments toward players.

Do NOT shout at, or direct any negative or abusive remarks toward, any person, including players, coaches, umpires, parents, spectators, visitors, or league representatives.

Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, irresponsible, or illegal in nature is prohibited.

The use of foul, abusive, or offensive language, or making obscene gestures is prohibited.

Unauthorized persons may not be on the field, in the dugout/bench area, or in the press box.

Address any concerns in a calm, polite, and civil manner, away from the children. Verbal and/or physical confrontations or harassment will NOT be tolerated.

Any persons who violate the code of conduct will be subject to disciplinary action by the league. Such action can involve a verbal warning, written reprimand, suspension, and other actions, including expulsion from the program and/or banishment from the Kiwanis Baseball Complex for offenses that are repeated and/or severe. Generally, minor offenses will result in warnings, with subsequent offenses dealt with on a graduated scale of potential disciplinary actions. However, severe offenses will result in severe penalties, even if such offenses are first offenses.
